Taylor's Place

creating memories

Taylor’s Place is a private sanctuary nestled on thirty acres west of Katy, Texas, where families with terminally ill members can find respite and create lasting memories. Cotton Foundation is looking to partner with community-minded brands and individuals that can help us make our vision of Taylor’s Place a reality. Help us build a community where families come together to find healing. Whether sponsoring a complete package or donating, there are plenty of ways to support Taylor’s Place

the legacy of tom wallace

a life dedicated to family and community

Taylor’s Place was inspired by the example of a beloved friend, colleague, and member of the Cotton family, Tom Wallace. The Cotton Foundation established this haven for families facing terminal illnesses in Tom’s memory, honoring his commitment to giving back to the community and building lasting bonds between people.

During his four-year battle with cancer, rather than lamenting his illness, Tom devoted his time to his friends, family, and to giving to others. Although his time on earth was brief, he knew that his young family — his wife and four-year-old daughter, Taylor — would cherish the memories he made with them in his last years.

Tom Wallace was a man of great determination, a positive spirit, and a caring heart — a beloved friend, brother, father, and husband. The unforgettable memories and lifelong bonds created at Taylor’s Place will be his
fitting legacy.

CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS

A Place for Healing, Built with a Purpose

Phase 1 of Taylor’s Place is the main lodge where families can get away for the day and spend quality time together. They can explore the beauty of nature, try their hand at fishing or enjoy a peaceful picnic in the serene surroundings. Or perhaps it’s a trip to the backyard pool, ending the day by watching a brilliant orange sunset. Those who prefer to stay indoors can enjoy a house filled with games and movies for the family.

Phase 2 of Taylor’s Place consists of a music hall, basketball and pickleball courts and a playground. Whether it’s through the power of music or a little healthy competition between siblings, this retreat-like atmosphere is sure to foster love and hope and help families make the most of their time together.

Taylor’s Place officially broke ground in 2025, and we’re thrilled to share our latest progress with you. We aim to invite the first family to visit the grounds in winter 2025 and officially open our gates early 2026.

CRAWFISH FOR A CAUSE

Cotton Foundation, Annual CrawFest

Each year, Cotton Foundation hosts CrawFest, an event filled with music, fellowship and, of course, thousands of pounds of crawfish. Funds raised from the special evening directly benefit Taylor’s Place and help raise awareness for the Foundation’s overall mission.
