On a sunny Thursday evening in April, thousands of guests arrived at the Cotton Ranch in Katy, Texas, for the Cotton Foundation’s tenth annual CrawFest. Every year, this signature event raises money to help the Foundation enact its mission of Restoring Hope to children and families impacted by disasters and illnesses.

At CrawFest 2023, the Cotton Culinary team served up over 6,000 pounds of fresh crawfish alongside delightful appetizers, like fried alligator bites and cheesy corn fritters, and rich desserts, including beignets and bread pudding.

All throughout the Cotton Ranch, guests found exciting entertainment. Visitors danced all night to the sounds of Luke Morace and Josh Ward, the Lucky Libations Station gave people the opportunity to take home various alcohol bottles in an adult-themed game of ring toss and visitors could get up close and personal with the Astros’ World Series trophy and take once-in-a-lifetime photos with the 2-foot-tall award.

With the help of our outstanding community, the Cotton Foundation raised over $490,000 to benefit Taylor’s Place, a private sanctuary where families facing terminal illnesses can create memories to last a lifetime. Our team recently broke ground on Taylor’s Place, and the funds from CrawFest will help us construct this haven that will help visitors forget their worries.
