Visiting the Goodyear Plant in Beaumont, Texas

October 7, 2019

On Monday, October 7, 2019, Cotton Foundation deployed two trucks to the Goodyear Plant outside of Beaumont, Texas, to deliver building materials to employees affected by Tropical Strom Imelda. The plant employs over 600 people, and about 43 associates experienced flooding in Winnie, Vidor, Hamshire, and other nearby towns. The plant itself was shut down due to the event, after receiving 42 inches of rain in just 24-hours. 375 sheets of drywall and 90 bags of insulation were shipped from Houston to Beaumont by the Cotton Foundation, unloaded with the help of Goodyear team members, and distributed.
